What we believe inCommunity
We want to be part of and contribute to our community and be responsive to their needs We would like more community activities at the garden centre – let us know if you want to get involved or have any ideas We offer opportunities to gain life skills, and improve general skills and abilities, and enhances chances of gaining employment Our vision is to create a community hub where people can come and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat and get involved in activities InclusionWe are an inclusive organisation and welcome everyone.
We particularly welcome people of all ages, people with physical and sensory disabilities and mental health problems, men and women, people of all gender identities, people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, people of all religions and faiths (including no religion) and lesbian, gay and bi-sexual people. Most of our plants and products are produced by our day opportunities placements, supported by our well trained staff and volunteers. We want to increase the range of people from protected groups into our day opportunities programme. We belong and contribute to Salford’s Equality Network, which comprises public, voluntary and other organisations across the city which are working towards improving equality and diversity in Salford. Our garden centre is accessible being all on one level. It has accessible toilets and ramps to toilets and our shop. Sustainability
